Installing Windscribe VPN on your Windows PC
Step by Step Windows Installation Instructions
1. First, sign up for an account on our website using this link. You can generate a username and password by clicking the 'Generate Password' icon on the right, or use your own. Providing an email address is optional, but if you add and confirm your email, you will get 10GB of monthly VPN data for free as opposed to the 2GB without an email.
2. Once you have your Windscribe account set up, head to the downloads page and select the Windows desktop app.
3. Run the installer after it finishes downloading.
4. Press the 'Install' button and wait a few moments for it to finish.
5. Once installed, press 'Login'.
6. Enter your username and password and press the green arrow to login.
7. Once logged in, you can connect by pressing the big 'ON' button, or by expanding the location list and selecting an available location.
8. You will know you are connected when the application turns blue and you see the ON button the top-left corner turn green. The IP address will also change from your personal IP to the VPN server's IP.
9. To disconnect or reconnect the VPN, simply press the big 'ON/OFF' button on the top-right.
